This post is a bit different, instead of talking about dogs I will talk about the experience I had some years ago filming for Channel 5!
I was working for Dogs Country Club when they asked me to take part to the shooting as one of the dogs they were following for a program on doggy day care was an Italian Bracco and since I'm Italian it would have been fun for me to talk to Edna, the Bracco, in Italian. I was put in charge of some of Edna's training and once explained to me what it was they wanted I suggested to try some basic scent work with her, being a gundog breed.
It was a bit intimidating having those big cameras on you, especially when they started asking me questions! I like to talk to people and I love teaching and coaching but answering questions in front of a camera is a complitely different matter.
You might have noticed that they dogs had slip leads on in the episode, that was not my choice! Those leads where used in day care to move dogs around and I was given the dogs like that; I made sure they were as loose as possibile, so Edit wears it like a scarf instead of a lead, I thought it very funny watching the episode now!
I also had some clips with my own dogs taken while doing exercises and agility but I don't think that will be on tv, and I can't find the clips they sent me when they edited them. If you haven't watched the episode yet, here is the link, I'm around minute 11
